Between April 4th and 8th, 2022, the Brazilian Center for Studies on Nazism and the Holocaust (NEPAT) held its second international and online event: “The Burden of Our Times: The Third Reich in Perspective”.
 

This was yet another initiative entirely conceived and organized by NEPAT's female coordinators. The event featured a robust programme, including:
 

• International conferences in Spanish and English.

• Roundtable discussions with experts.

• Graduate and undergraduate student panels for research presentations.

• Two in-depth mini-courses.
   

The central objective of the event was to promote reflections on the reverberations and continuities of Nazism in contemporary societies, paying special attention to the deep roots of this ideology in Brazil.

Furthermore, we dedicated ourselves to considering the challenges and potential of researching and teaching topics related to Nazism and the Holocaust.
