Between April 5th and 9th, 2021, NEPAT held its first international and online event: “What Is Left of the Swastika: Nazism, Denial, and Memory”.

The initiative was entirely conceived and executed by NEPAT's coordinators.

The programme brought together panels of speakers with cutting-edge research on the theme, a mini-course, and student panels for the presentation of works in progress.

The central objective that drove us was to foster crucial reflections and debates on the continuities of Nazi ideology and discourse in the present day. We rigorously sought to deepen the understanding of the Third Reich, that “past that has not passed”, confronting denial and reinforcing the ethics of memory.

In coherence with our commitment to Public History, the entire programme (with the exception of the mini-course) was offered free of charge, and we issued certificates to participants.

All discussion panels are available in a dedicated playlist on our YouTube channel.
